CHARITY CONCERT 3440
At an altitude of 3,440 metres, well-known melodies from Mozart to Shostakovich resound for a good cause. As musical ambassadors of Austria, they have already travelled the world, always incorporating their musical impressions into their repertoire. Now the four musicians from the Tyrolean lowlands are following in the footsteps of Johann Strauss, who made the waltz famous all over the world in his day. With the acoustic instruments violin, accordion, guitar and double bass, they form what is probably the smallest symphony orchestra in the world. Their own arrangements for this small ensemble give the well-known melodies a special and exclusive charm.
The highest concert hall is located on the Pitztal Glacier, directly on the Hinterer Brunnenkogel. The Café 3440 is the highest point in the Alps in Austria. Thanks to the most modern cable car in Austria, the Wildspitzbahn, everyone can experience this high feeling.
