Glacier day on Pitztal Glacier

In the mountain summer, the Pitztal mountain guides will take you on an exciting tour of the glacier world on the Pitztal Glacier.
From the setting of ice screws to the formation of glacier mills or the perfect equipment on the glacier, you will learn everything worth knowing about the mountain world on THE HIGHEST IN TIROL.

About 115000 years ago, when last big ice age began, also the glaciers in the Pitztal valley were formed. To walk on the ice, to touch it and to learn interesting things about their history is a fantastic experience in your holidays.

A highlight of this hike is to have a closer look at a crevasse. Discover the glacier hike at the Pitztal Glacier with the state-certified Pitztal mountain guides.

• On this hike you will be at an altitude of more than 2,800 metres
• You are advised to bring hiking boots, long trousers, windbreaker, hat, gloves, sunglasses and sun cream
