Free parking is available at the Rifflseebahn valley station (Mandarfen 89, 6481 St. Leonhard) and at the glacier lift valley station (Mittelberg 104, 6481 St. Leonhard).

Pitztal Glacier (from 3 July 2026): Gletscherexpress daily from 8:40 am to 4:20 pm, Wildspitzbahn to Café 3.440 daily from 9:00 am to 3:45 pm, ticket office daily from 8:00 am to 4:20 pm.
Rifflseebahn daily from 8:40 am to 4:20 pm, ticket office daily from 8:00 am to 4:20 pm.
From 21 September 2026, the Rifflseebahn will not operate in bad weather.
For mountaineers, the Gletscherexpress offers an early-morning ascent every Friday at 7:00 am (only in good weather; information hotline +43 5413 86288).

The ski season on the glacier starts on 26 September 2026 and ends on 2 May 2027. The ski season at Rifflsee runs from 12 December 2026 to 4 April 2027. Online ski passes for winter 2026/27 have already been available at discounted prices since 1 June.

Regular operating hours: skiing daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Any special operating hours will be announced at short notice on our website.

No. We have a summer and winter season, with a maintenance period in between. Café 3.440 is only open when the glacier lifts are operating.

Your ski pass for Pitztal Glacier and Rifflsee is also valid at Kaunertal Glacier and Winterberg Fendels.

For ski passes valid for 2 days or more, one additional ski day at Hochzeiger is included. Please note: the first day of use must be at Pitztal Glacier or Rifflsee.

Yes. From the 2026/27 winter season onwards, your ski pass is valid without restriction in both ski areas. A Pitztal ski pass gives you access to all lifts at Kaunertal Glacier, while a Kaunertal ski pass gives you access to all lifts at Pitztal Glacier.
This applies to all day and multi-day ski passes, at no extra charge and without the need for an additional card.
One pass, two glaciers and complete freedom on all slopes.

Good to know: There is no ski bus or shuttle connection between the two glaciers. We therefore recommend planning the transfer between the two valleys by car. If you want to ski in both areas throughout the entire season, the joint TOP4 season pass is also an excellent option.

Yes. Reduced rates are available for children and teenagers. The age categories for winter 2026/27 are based on year of birth:
Adults: born in 2006 or earlier
Youth: born between 2007 and 2011
Children: born between 2012 and 2018
Children born in 2019 or later travel free of charge (EUR 2 processing fee).

Yes. Group discounts are available on written request to pitztal@tirolgletscher.com for groups of 20 people or more travelling together for a ski trip. Hotels and accommodation providers do not qualify as group leaders.

Yes. Guests with a degree of disability of 60% or more receive the standard children’s rate for day and multi-day passes (official ID required). If an accompanying person is specified on the disability ID card (designation B), this person also receives the children’s rate.
These tickets are only available on site upon presentation of the relevant official ID.

A flexible-day pass allows you to ski on 6 days within a period of 7 days. The final day of validity is printed on the ski pass.

No. We only sell winter day and multi-day ski tickets, as well as the TOP 4 season pass online.

You can purchase your ski touring ticket at the ticket machines on site or at the ticket office. Cross-country ski tickets are only available at the ticket offices.

The ski area offers slopes for everyone from beginners to experienced skiers and professionals: 15 km of blue slopes, 43 km of red slopes and 10 km of black slopes.

We recommend starting your day in the Rifflsee ski area. Via the valley run (piste 1), you can ski down to the glacier lift valley station. You can return to Mandarfen via a connecting ski trail.
Guests staying in Mandarfen can therefore visit both ski areas in winter without using a car or bus.

Yes. The X-Park and open terrain offer freeride opportunities. There are also ski touring routes and a cross-country ski trail at Rifflsee. You can find further details in the respective sections of the Winter menu.

Ski touring is permitted along the edge of the pistes. There is no longer a separate ski touring park with marked ascent routes.
Special ski touring tickets are available on site from the ticket offices and ticket machines:
The Glacier Ski Touring Ticket includes an ascent and descent with the Gletscherexpress as well as one ascent each with the Mittelbergbahn and Gletschersee chairlift.
The Rifflsee Ski Touring Ticket includes one ascent with the Rifflsee gondola.

New in summer: The Glacier Card is a new addition to our summer ticket range.
The Glacier Card gives you unlimited use of Pitztal Glacier and Rifflsee, Kaunertal Glacier including the Kaunertal Glacier Road, and Sommerberg Fendels.
It is valid from 20 June to 25 September 2026. There is a 3-in-4-day ticket and a 6-in-7-day ticket.

Valid from 4 June to 18 October 2026 – available exclusively to guests staying at participating accommodation providers in the Pitztal.
You receive the card when staying at one of the participating accommodation providers in the Pitztal. With the card, you can use one mountain lift or the XP Adventure Park per day.
In addition, you receive free admission to other participating attractions such as museums, the swimming lake, climbing hall, Boulderstadl and Steinbockzentrum, as well as free use of public buses throughout the Pitztal on all days.

The raft trip is one of the summer highlights at Rifflsee. In July and August, the raft operates every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm.

From the valley floor to high-alpine terrain, there are routes for every level. Recommendations and detailed route descriptions can be found in the Hiking and Trail Running sections as well as on our blog.

Every Friday, an early-morning ascent for mountaineers is available at 7:00 am. This makes it possible, for example, to climb the Wildspitze as a day tour.
We recommend undertaking this tour only when accompanied by a certified mountain guide.

Dogs are welcome to travel with us. Transport costs EUR 5 for 1 day and EUR 10 for 6 days.
Dogs must wear a muzzle while travelling on our mountain lifts. Dogs are not permitted inside our restaurants and cafés.

Café 3.440 is open whenever the glacier lifts are operating. During operating periods, it is open daily from 9:30 am to 3:45 pm.

From 4 July 2026, you can enjoy Tirol’s highest breakfast every Thursday and Saturday during the summer, with views of more than 50 peaks over 3,000 metres.
In winter, breakfast takes place every Saturday.

The area is not fully accessible throughout. However, the mountain lifts can also be used with a wheelchair, and our team will be happy to assist you.

Even in summer, temperatures on the glacier are considerably lower than in the valley. We recommend warm, weatherproof clothing worn in layers, sturdy footwear, sun protection and sunglasses.
For hikes in high-alpine terrain, appropriate mountain equipment is essential.

No. Vouchers currently cannot be redeemed in the online ticket shop. The ticket shop is used exclusively for purchasing ski tickets.
Vouchers can be purchased and managed via our separate voucher shop, which is subject to its own terms and conditions.

Our shop uses dynamic pricing. The more tickets that have already been sold for a particular date, the lower the available discount becomes.

Buying online is always cheaper than buying at the ticket office. Even on the ski day itself, you can still receive a 3% online discount.

Payments are processed securely and encrypted via our ticketing partner.

Ski passes are issued on a reusable Keycard. Our Keycards are free of charge.

No, you do not need to visit the ticket office.
If you already have a Keycard, you can go directly to the turnstile, where your card will be activated.
If you do not have a Keycard, simply use the QR code from your confirmation email to collect your ticket from one of our ticket machines, available 24 hours a day.

If you lose your ski pass, you will need the confirmation email containing your blocking number or Order ID.
A replacement card can be issued at the ticket office for a processing fee of EUR 25.
Forgotten ski passes cannot generally be replaced. In this case, a new day ticket must be purchased.

Yes. Your ticket is valid only for the period booked.

No. The validity period cannot be changed after the booking has been completed.

No. Once used for the first time, a ski pass is personal and non-transferable. If a pass is misused or transferred to another person, it will be confiscated.
The Family Card is an exception: it allows a mother and father to share one ski pass and use it alternately, for an additional charge of EUR 15 per day. This option is available to parents with children up to and including 3 years of age.

Day and multi-day passes can already be used from 3:00 pm on the day before their official validity starts.

Bad weather alone does not entitle you to free cancellation.
If the glacier ski area is closed, you can use our partner ski areas instead, such as Kaunertal Glacier.
From the third consecutive day of closure, you can return your ticket at the lift ticket office and receive a voucher for the unused days. The voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue.
Season passes, annual passes and multi-resort passes are excluded. Cash refunds are not possible.

Refunds are only possible in the event of a skiing accident or illness and for tickets valid for at least two days. The day of the accident or injury itself is not refunded.
Unused days are refunded on a pro-rata basis.
A medical certificate issued by a doctor based in the region is required.
If a child is injured, one parent’s unused ticket days may also be refunded as a gesture of goodwill.

Reduced tickets are available for children and teenagers.
There is no general senior rate. However, guests aged 80 and over receive a special rate in the winter as part of our 80+ promotion.
This ticket is only available on site upon presentation of valid proof of age.
