Gastronomy on the Pitztal glacier

Kristall mountain restaurant

Located on the ground floor of the Glacierexpress mountain station, the self-service restaurant offers Tyrolean and international cuisine, pasta dishes and a coffee bar/cake buffet with produce from its own pastry shop. The large terrace offers a spot to recharge and linger in the sun. The restaurant is open during the operating times of the Gletscher Express, from 9 am to 4 pm daily.

 Wildspitze mountain restaurant

Located on the top floor of the Gletscherexpress mountain station, the self-service restaurant offers Tyrolean and international cuisine with meat dishes. You can also enjoy speciality cakes from Tyrol's highest pastry shop. Opening times are during the winter season of the Gletscher Express, from 9 am to 4 pm daily.

We also organise special events for larger groups in the evening in our mountain restaurant, or we can reserve the clubroom in the Wildspitze restaurant, which can hold around 30 persons.

Pitz Live outdoor bar

Next to the open-air stage on the spacious sun terrace you will find a merry meeting place: the Pitz Live outdoor bar! Here you can refresh yourself, recharge or round off your ski day with a well-earned ‘jagatee’. The Pitz Live team is at your service until the last run of the Gletscher Express!

Rifflsee gastronomy 

You can find various retreat options around Rifflsee, such as the Sunna Alm restaurant, the Rifflsee Hütte and the Taschach Alm.

Sunna Alm mountain restaurant

At an altitude of 2.300 m this self-service restaurant, with its passive (ultra-low energy) house design, awaits you. You can enjoy a magnificent all-round view of the surrounding mountains from the terrace and from inside the restaurant, through the windows. Tyrolean specialities, savoury and sweet dishes, as well as the fresh soup buffet, are all special treats. The restaurant is open during the operating times of the Rifflsee lift – until 4 pm daily.

Rifflsee Hütte

As a second option, the Rifflsee Hütte offers you a place to take a break at 2.289 m. Cosy lodge atmosphere and sun terrace

Taschach Alm

Taschach Alm offers a third option for a retreat. Located directly on the valley slope, this rustic lodge has a cosy atmosphere and the outdoor bar invites you to linger.
